Main home description
: Casa Case is situated within a few minutes drive of several Blue Flag beaches which rarely get crowded. There are numerous small towns and villages nearby to be explored and some lovely bars and restaurants where you can sample the local delicacies.
The unique layout of Casa Case makes it ideal for groups or extended families. It’s like five houses in one so you can have privacy within your group.
The ground floor of the main section of the house has a large lounge/dining room with fireplace, an open kitchen fully equipped with 5 ring range-style cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and coffee maker, 2 twin-bedded rooms and a shower room. On the first floor is a double-bedroom with en-suite bathroom and veranda.
The 4 guest suites each have a double-bedroom with en-suite wet room and a lounge with sofas, chairs and table, fridge and coffee/tea making facilities.
In the basement is a washing machine, an iron and ironing board
Outside, the 15m long swimming pool gently slopes from zero to 1.5m deep. In a lower section of the garden is a large barbecue, a gravelled area (with lighting) ideal for alfresco dining, a giant chess board, a boule court (chess pieces and boule are provided). Plenty of outdoor furniture and umbrellas are provided. Within the garden are several paths for pleasant strolls.
There is also a communal swimming pool and tennis courts nearby.
From the villa there are spectacular views of the mountains and countryside (and sea from the first floor veranda) which make this a perfect setting for your holiday.

: We provide some basic supplies (tea, coffee, water, milk, sugar, toilet rolls, etc.) for your convenience. We can also get some shopping for you if you are arriving later in the day.

Further details for the exterior
: Surrounding Casa Case are over 4500 sq m of enclosed grounds. Within the grounds there is ample parking for cars under shady pine trees.
Description of the local area
: The village of L’Ametlla de Mar (almond by the sea) is a delightful fishing village. It has lots of narrow streets and squares with plenty of bars and restaurants where you can sit in the sun watching the world go by.
There are several blue flag beaches within a short distance, including Sant Jordi which has it’s own Knights Templar castle.
The surrounding countryside is abundant with olive and almond groves. Other activities in the area include walking, golf, diving, wine tasting, gastronomy, museums and adventure (such as Port Aventura) and water parks.
There are lots of fiestas and special activities, especially during the summer. Some of the regular fiestas include:
May or Jun - Corpus Christi – where the village streets are decorated with carpets of flowers.
Jul & Aug – L’Ametlla – Noodle and Rice cooking contests, free open air concerts, displays, etc.
Jul – Tortosa Renaisance Festival – market stalls, street entertainers, dancing and more
Description of the Costa Dorada
: The Costa Dorada (golden coast) takes it’s name from the golden sandy beaches which stretch along most of the shoreline. The area forms the southern part of Catalonia which has a separate identity from the rest of Spain. This part of Spain is greener and enjoys a more temperate climate than further south.
This area is steeped in history and some of the cities worth visiting include Tortosa (medieval), Tarragona (Roman and medieval), Reus (birthplace of Gaudi) all about 30 minutes drive and Barcelona is about 1½ hours drive.
The Ebro Delta nature reserve with is wide variety of bird life is about 30 minutes drive away. The River Ebro (home to record breaking catfish) also has excellent fishing.

: 24 Apr 10 - 25 Jun 10 = £1,000 pw
25 Jun 10 - 23 Jul 10 = £1,800 pw
24 Jul 10 - 21 Aug 10 = £2,700 pw
22 Aug 10 - 17 Sep 10 = £1,800 pw
18 Sep 10 - 29 Oct 10 = £1,000 pw
Rental Conditions
: Prices based on 14 guests. £50 or €50 per additional folding single bed (max 4) per week. No extra charge for the cot and highchair.
Payments accepted in £ or €. Booking deposit 20%. Balance due one calendar month before your holiday. Damage deposit £300 or €300. 5% reduction for 2nd and subsequent weeks.
Changeover day - flexible.
Rentals - commence at 4pm & end at 10am. (may be varied by prior arrangement).
Includes:- bed linen and towels (for indoor use) (changed weekly), weekly cleaning, pool maintenance. Early/late season - smaller parties can be accommodated from £600 pw - please ask for further details.
